Company News
After enough test campaigns, the same findings recur across very different products. None of them are exotic; all of them are cheap to fix before submission and expensive to fix after a failed test.
Construction findings
A protective bond that relies on a painted surface. A clearance reduced by a wire routed against a barrier. A fuse of the right current but inadequate breaking capacity. A capacitor that holds charge longer than the specified time because the bleeder was omitted in production.
Marking and documentation findings
A rating plate missing the pollution degree or the measurement category voltage for an input. A manual that does not state the rated ambient range. A warning symbol used without the corresponding requirement being met. Probes supplied without a rating while the instrument carries a category marking.
Thermal findings
A temperature rise measured at 22 °C ambient and compared with a limit derived from a 40 °C rated ambient without correction. A thermocouple on the case surface next to an internal heat source rather than at the point the user touches. An instrument tested on an open bench but rated for rack mounting.
Each of these takes minutes to check before submission. A pre-assessment walkthrough against the clause list, done by someone who did not design the product, finds most of them.
